ILLUSTRATOR TRAINING

Adobe Illustrator is a graphics programme which unlike photoshop allows you to create vector shapes without them becoming pixelated when made larger.
Because of this, Illustrator is most commonly used to create things such as logos, so we decided to use this programme to create the logo for our invented production company.

PHOTOSHOP TRAINING

Photoshop is a photograph manipulation programe which allows you to edit and develop graphics.

We will be dominantly using this piece of software to edit the pictures that will be used on our final digi-pak and therefore, during our photoshop training we trailed many different effects to see which would successfully create.

After deciding on a theme for our digipak, we began to minipulate the pictures to create the effect.

LIGHTING TRAINING

THREE POINT LIGHTING.
In the above picture all three light are on the student example. These are the
FILL, KEY and BACK lights.
Key Light is the dominant and most important of the three lights. In most staging cases, the key light is used to create Sunlight. As i also learned from last years film opening project, removing the key light kelps create a silhouette effect on the subjects.

Fill lights simply fill in any shadows around the subject which were created by the key light. It is also much softer in tone than the key light.

Back light provides definintion to a shot / picture.


The above picture displays a 'Bounce Board'. This item is used to reflect light on the person in the picture or footage.
